SHRM opposes anti-bullying Healthy Workplace Bill
SHRM, the HR industry advocacy group has gone on record opposing the cessation of abusive conduct in the American workplace. HR boldy stands for abuse and embarrasses the many well-intentioned practitioners who thought their job was “helping people.” Read the details.

Who in their right mind would go through the headache of bringing suit against a company just for financial gain? The cost alone is a deterrent, and the potential monetary gain is marginal. It doesn’t make sense. SHRM is out of their mind.
A mighty risky stance for them to take as an organization. And very disheartening for HR professionals who are staunch advocates of Healthy Workplace. I fully oppose frivolous/baseless lawsuits against employers and can understand concern in legislature that is too broad, but to denounce employee protections across the board….that literally takes the “Human” AND the “Resource” out of Human Resource Professional!
