I knew exactly what it felt like to be bullied as I myself had endured that for quite sometime and I had tried to move on but it kept on happening. Bullies do blame the target all the time and I for one was told that I am crazy, depressed, mentally unstable, stupid, childish, selfish, with a bad attitude, unfriendly just to mention a few. Apart from all the psychological abuse, humiliation, non-stop criticism with hardly any positive feedback despite all my diligence, heartfelt dedication and doing my best at all times despite them not deserving it, despite being traumatized over and over from it and dreaded going to work before I was fired with the accusation of harassment with the collaboration of the bullies at Mcdonald’s here in Vancouver, BC, Canada. It is very wrong for anyone to just blamed the target even when his life was lost to it. I would like to express my symphaty to his family. I do hope that the bully/co. will be held accountable at the highest for his destructive behaviour to him.

I was once blamed as a bully for simply threatening my coworker and saying to him that there will be bloodshed if he does not quit the job. I only threatened him three time. This happened in the lab. Fortunately my boss in Texas was very supportive of me. But after the accuser left the lab, the university is closing down our lab. Is it not outrageous?

It seems like a common and widespread tactic by HR to stamp the Victim of bullying as “Mentally ill”. Most victims do suffer heavily when bullied for long period of time.

STEP-1: DO NOT QUIT THE JOB and NEVER TELL ANYONE THAT YOU ARE BEING BULLIED. PLAN TO RECORD THE BULLIES ACTIONS, for NO ONE WILL BE WILLING TO BE SEEN AS A WITNESS.

STEP-2: IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO NOT TO TAKE THE HELP OF WORK-LIFE PROGRAM FOR RELIEF. THIS IS WHERE THE EMPLOYER GETS THE VICTIM INTO SUBMISSION.

STEP-3: CONSULT WITH A PSYCHOLOGIST OUTSIDE YOUR WORK and DO NOT DISCLOSE this to your employer.

STEP-4: CONSULT WITH A LAWYER AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.

STEP-5. MAKE YOUR CASE WITH HR IN WRITING and NEVER VERBALLY. GET A RECEIPT, Signed and dated if possible WITH THE HELP OF A LAWYER.

STEP-6: MAKE A DEAL OR REQUEST FOR ACTION BE TAKEN.

If these steps are taken within the first year of being bullied, YOU WILL BE THE WINNER.
Once the bullying has taken place beyond one year, one can be sure that the bully has manipulated the whole environment and THERE MAY BE NO WAY OUT.

I was bullied for more than two years, had no other way out than leaving the job and IT TOOK THREE YEARS FOR ME TO FIND ANOTHER JOB.

SOME OF THE BULLIES ARE NOW FIRED.
One of the bullies is still with the same employer. May not for long before the employer identifies the problem remedies it.

EMPLOYERS MAY DENY OF HAVING ANY PROBLEM. BUT SOME DO TAKE ACTION.. sometimes Way too Late though.

I Decided to write a book. MINE HAS BEEN NOTHING SHORT OF AN UNIMAGINABLE NIGHTMARE. I learned valuable lessons and do not worry about it any more, nor do I blame my boss. Primary bullies were coworkers who had manipulated the boss beyond recognition.

THE OUTCOME: BEWARE BULLIES….I AM NOT AN EASY TARGET ANY MORE.

BULLYING IS A CRIME, similar to serial rape. One gets the feeling as though one is being tortured in captivity, all escape routes are shut and not even god is willing to listen to one’s cries.

Let us all discourage bullying and encourage more friendships.
