NBC kicked Workplace Bullying out of The Office
NBC had announced that the Sept. 20 season-opening episode of The Office would be titled “Workplace Bullying.” Somewhere along the way, the powers-that-be deleted a short scene illustrating what they thought epitomized workplace bullying (thanks to Hulu.com you can view it below) and re-titled the show “New Guys.” NBC was close to mainstreaming the topic, but just couldn’t commit.
[On a much larger scale, NBC also canceled the airing a 2007 Dateline NBC full 60-min. show featuring the work of WBI which they produced at great expense. The cancellation happened two days before air date after lots of advertising it for one week. The reason given to us was that a lawsuit had been threatened.]
