Anti-bullying Healthy Workplace Bill legislation introduced in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania (home state of WBI Director Gary Namie) became the 25th state to ever introduce the anti-bullying Healthy Workplace Bill (HWB).

Eleven brave Democratic sponsors back the bill, HB 1179, led by Rep. Mark Cohen. Let’s hope the bill gets a public hearing. You can help make that happen by visiting the PA State Page at the Healthy Workplace Campaign website. Use our E-Z Emailer to thank all of the sponsors and to encourage the members of the House Labor and Industry Committee to act on the bill before the end of the legislative session in 2014.

In 2013, PA makes 10 states currently carrying 13 versions of the HWB.

Im going through bullying now in my office. Since the start of working there 5 years ago I was diagnosed with 3 things all related to stress. I asked for a transfer to get out of the stressful situation but I was given the option to either stay and pray something better comes along or resign and lose the health insurance I need for my family. I could use this law for protection.
